🛒 What You'll Find With Us
At Alter, you'll find only seasonal food, because nature has its own rhythm, and we follow it. We offer a selection of locally sourced produce, grown on our plots located between Pareto, Mioglia, and Albisola Superiore.
-
Fruit and Vegetables and Pantry : Fresh seasonal vegetables, potatoes, flour, honey, pollen, and lavender essential oil.
-
Ready-made Food : In our processing facility, we prepare washed, chopped, and boiled vegetables. You'll find ready-made salads (perfect for taking straight to the beach!), boiled rice and grains, vegetable pies, and artisanal sauces.
-
Lebanese Specialties : Thanks to the precious collaboration with our friend Amal, the offering is enriched with unique aromas and flavors with traditional Lebanese dishes.

The Mill : Thanks to a call for proposals from the Municipality of Albissola Marina, we will soon purchase a stone mill to provide residents with a quality product that fosters a culture of food.

🌱 Our Philosophy: Dynamic Agriculture
Why is Alter different? Because we've chosen to go beyond traditional organic farming, which is often expensive and doesn't guarantee full respect for the soil. We practice dynamic, cyclical agriculture. We work the land to nourish it, paying close attention to crop rotations to preserve the soil's nutritional value. Furthermore, through food, we aim to contribute to building a sense of community where, through sharing recipes, people can find time to talk and get to know each other.

We have chosen to abandon the bureaucracy and costs of organic farming so as not to burden you as well. We have chosen regenerative agriculture that nourishes the earth. We have chosen not to use fertilizers derived from petroleum. We have chosen to have several fields close together and rotate crops. We have chosen to get help from farmers who think like us. We have chosen a bank that does not invest its money in weapons. We have chosen a place that knows how to welcome and generate beauty. We have chosen to share all of this with you!
🌱 In the near future
This fall, we'll be launching a series of workshops for residents and schools to spread a food culture and awareness that will help people eat with care and pleasure. You'll be invited to grind wheat and bake bread together, or visit a beehive and meet a queen in person! We'll cook and eat together.
"Slowly the wheat grows!"
